Have Some Questions? We Have Some Answers.

Q - Website Pricing?

A - There are several factors that make up the overall costs involved in creating and running a website. Here are the primary costs that you may be dealing with:

  1. Website Design - Depending on the scope of the project the cost could be anywhere from a few hundred dollars to thousands of dollars.
  2. Website Host - From around $8/month for a small-scale website to $300/month or more for a large-scale website.
  3. Website Maintenance - This is a tough figure to estimate as each business is unique in their ongoing requirements. Small websites typically do not need any substantial website maintenance. If you have a medium to large scale website such as an e-commerce shop you'll be looking at some maintenance fees for platform security updates, CMS updates, product listing updates, etc.
  4. Domain Name - On average domain names cost about $10/year depending on the TLD.
  5. SEO - Basic SEO (search engine optimization) is typically included in the design cost of a small-scale website. Medium to large-scale websites may have additional costs. Advanced SEO will cost whatever your budget will support.

Q - What Is A Website Host?

A - Website hosts provide a way to serve your website to the Internet so people can access it. Ideally this is on a highly optimized secured computer server with high speed connections to the Internet. Additionally, web hosts will typically provide an online website control panel with services such as FTP account management, email account management and visitor statistics.

Q - What Is A Domain Name?

A - A domain name is what people would use to visit your website. For example:, and are all domain names. The '.com' part is the TLD (top level domain). There are many TLDs available such as .com, .net, .org, .biz, etc.

Q - What Is SEO (Search Engine Optimization)?

A - SEO is the analysis and strategic implementation of viable keywords that visitors would use to find your website via organic search engine results. SEO is challenging work that is done on an ever changing landscape that requires constant vigilance to keep up with current trends in search engine algorithms.

Q - What Is A CMS (Content Management System)?

A - CMS is an application that is developed to help simplify tasks such as website content updates without needing to know the underlying complex programming language. It will typically provide an administrative back-end to manage your front-end content. For example, if you have an e-commerce shop it may allow you to log in and change your product pricing and descriptions. A CMS could also provide custom tools that, for example, if you need to have an employee management system to adjust scheduling, send out user email/SMS alerts, etc.

Q - How Do I Get More Visitors To My Website?

A - Two Primary Methods:

  1. Search Engines:
Optimizing your website content for search engines is the first place to start. Search engine optimization (SEO) all starts with well written content that is properly formatted using headers, paragraphs, etc. Currently, Google prefers content that uses keywords in a natural organic way rather than the previously accepted formulaic methods. An excellent place to start is with Google's own starter guide on search engine optimization. We do not recommend the implementation of any 'grey hat' or 'black hat' optimization techniques - they almost always, eventually, come back to haunt you.
  2. Online Advertising:
Google's AdWords program is currently the most effective way to advertise online while using whatever your budget can support.
